Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo
Becky is a qualified teacher with experience in senior leadership and is a qualified SENDCo. She holds an NPQSL qualification and has worked as a Lead Practitioner, implementing a semi-formal curriculum focused on developing life skills and independence in a SEND setting.
As a Team Teach trainer, Becky delivers training to school staff, equipping them with the skills and understanding needed to support young people effectively. She advocates for positive behaviour support and believes in fostering environments where young people feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Becky is passionate about empowering neurodivergent young people to make their own choices about how and what they learn. Believing that every young person deserves the opportunity to live as independently as possible, she is dedicated to creating environments that support lifelong skills and mental well-being. She also champions the idea that learning never stops—this year, she is embracing that mindset by learning a new language.
Outside of education, Becky enjoys playing netball, reading, and cooking. She is inspired by the words of Benjamin Franklin: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn,” a quote that reflects her commitment to ensuring young people have real choices in their education. She also draws motivation from the words of A.A. Milne and Dr. Seuss, reminding those around her that they are braver, stronger, and smarter than they may believe—and that their journey is just beginning.
